Wound Care Clinic

The GBFHT Wound Care Clinic services are based on consultation, recommendation, follow up, prevention, and teaching with the GBFHT Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) using the North Simcoe Muskoka Community Care Access Centre's (CCAC's) Wound Care Evidenced Based Protocol.  Patients who require ongoing nursing care will continue to receive CCAC services for nursing and supplies.

Our Wound Care RN does consultations at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, as well as at nursing homes in the area.

We Offer Wound Prevention:

Venous Disease/Compression Therapy

Arterial Disease

Mixed Venous/Arterial Disease

High Risk Pressure Ulcers

High Risk Diabetic Feet

Foot/Nail Pathology

Note:  The GBFHT does not provide basic maintenance foot care.
