Our Child and Youth Counselling team accepts patients under the age of 16 for a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, anger, acting out, conflicts with parents/siblings, addictions, as well as problems with school and socialization. Children are helped one-on-one or may be counselled with family members present. 

Our Child and Youth Counselling team is made up of 2 part time and two full time employees.  Patients are under 16 years of age may be counselled individually or with family members present.

Dr. Hazlett, Pediatrician, and Dr. Rajkhowa, Psychiatrist, (both from Barrie) provide guidance and medical consults to our Counsellors.

Dr. Rajkhowa and Youthdale are also available to be seen over the Ontario Telemedicine Network.

Scope of practice includes, but is not limited to:


o Anxiety
o Depression
o Anger
o Acting out
o Family conflict
o Addictions
o Behaviour
o School issues

Child and Youth Groups: Groups run on a rotating schedule and include: You Grow Girl (self esteem improvement for girls), and Chill Time (for boys with anxiety).   Ages of groups vary by need.
