Family Physicians
The Family Health Team is growing due to the support and participation of the Georgian Bay Family Health Network and the Blue Mountain Family Health Network. These groups of physicians have long been established in the area and have provided high quality primary care to the residents of the Georgian Bay area.

INTERDISCIPLINARY HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS
Primary Care Nurse Practitioners
Nurse Practitioners are key team members, as they may be the first point of contact. Nurse Practitioners collaborate with family physicians to ensure that each client receives the best possible care. Nurse Practitioners are able to assess, investigate, diagnose and treat patients according to their scope of practice.
We currently have 4 NPs on staff.
Registered Nurses
Registered Nurses and Registered Nurse Specialists deliver services and programs that meet the tailored needs of the area. This is accomplished through collaboration with other team members and community partners; reciprocal planning and implementation.
We currently have 1 full-time RN-Diabetes, 1 full-time RN-Wound Care, 1 full-time RN-Screening & Health Promotion, 1 full-time RN-Heart Failure and 1 part-time RN on staff.
Registered Dietitian
RDs provide education and guidance for patients seeking better health through nutrition.
We currently have 1 full-time Registered Dietitian on staff.
Mental Health Counsellors
Our Counsellors will see patients with mild to moderate health care concerns including mood disorders such as depression, anxiety and stress, marital and family dysfunction, addictions, eating disorders, anger management, sexual identity issues, self-esteem problems, bereavement and abuse, among others.
We current have 5 full-time and 1 part-time Counsellors on staff.
Child and Youth Mental Health Counsellors
We provide psychosocial assessments and counseling services to children, teens and their families in a safe and confidential space. Our goal is to find solutions to challenges that affect behaviour, emotional, social and mental well being at home, school, and in the community i.e.: depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship conflicts, anger, divorce/separation, adjustment issues, communication, etc. Referrals to the pediatrician on our team can be made for assessment and/or diagnosis if necessary.
We currently have two Child and Youth Mental Health Counsellors on staff.
